Business Operations Analysis
“Why didn’t anyone ever teach me how to do this stuff?”
It’s a question that comes up a lot for small business owners. There are so many skills we have to learn on our own, especially for those of us without a formal business education.
The stakes are high, and sometimes you don’t even know what you don’t know.
But you don't have to figure it all out on your own.
Every business is built on two fundamental elements:
A business model: How you serve your customers, provide valuable products or services to them, and generate income for yourself.
An operational foundation: The systems, processes, and policies that keep everything running smoothly.
Many solo business owners focus all their attention on their business model—how they market, sell, and deliver their products and services. But without a strong operational foundation, even the best business model can become unsustainable.
Disorganized finances, inconsistent client experiences, and inefficient processes can lead to frustration, lost revenue, and stalled growth. That’s where I come in.
I help solo business owners get clarity on the behind-the-scenes aspects of running a business—things like financial management, customer experience, team management, and internal processes. These aren’t always the most exciting parts of entrepreneurship (unless you’re me, I love this stuff!), but they’re what make a business run smoothly, profitably, and sustainably.
Whether growth is your goal or you simply want to maintain a reasonable workload as a solo business owner, strengthening your ops foundation should be your top priority.
With my background in corporate business operations and my experience as a small business owner, I understand the difference between practical, real-world operations solutions that work for solo owners and useless busy work.
This process isn’t about adding more to your plate—it’s about helping you run your business more effectively.
How it Works
Free consultation: First, we’ll have a free 30-minute call to discuss the specifics of your business and what your Business Operations Analysis would include. After our call, I’ll share a detailed written proposal with all the information you need about how we can work together.
Analysis sessions: Next, we’ll meet for two operational deep dive sessions to dig into the inner workings of your business.
Recommendations report delivery: Finally, I’ll draft a detailed, personalized Operations Analysis Recommendations Report for you and your business. It’ll have specific recommendations and immediate next steps for you to solve existing operational issues and prevent new ones. The report will also include a multi-phase plan of how these actions will fuel your business’s success moving forward.
Here’s an example of what a phased plan could look like for a business owner who wants to scale, but needs to solidify their operations first:
The Recommendations Report then delves into why these phases are important for your business, and gives concrete next steps to achieve the core goals listed for each phase.
High-support upgrade (optional add-on): I’ll provide hands-on support to implement select recommendations in your Operations Analysis Recommendations Report.
The details will be tailored to each individual client, but I can assist with projects like creating and analyzing a cash flow forecast, drafting client communication templates, documenting & streamlining repeated business processes, and more.
Investment
For two 90-minute assessment sessions, plus a personalized Operations Analysis Recommendations Report—$450 paid in two installments: $250 deposit, $200 due upon delivery of your Recommendations Report.
Pricing for the optional high-support upgrade is dependent on the specific recommendations included in the analysis report, starting at $300.
