Business Operations Analysis
“Why didn’t anyone ever teach me how to do this stuff?”
It’s a question that comes up a lot for small business owners. There are so many skills we have to learn on our own. The stakes are high, and sometimes you don’t even know what you don’t know.
But you don't have to figure it all out on your own.
Every business is built on two fundamental elements:
Business model: How you serve your customers, provide valuable products or services to them, and generate income for yourself.
Operational foundation: The systems, processes, and policies that keep everything running smoothly for you and your customers.
Many business owners focus on their business model—how they market, sell, and deliver their products and services. But without a strong operational foundation, even a strong business model can fail.
Disorganized finances, negative customer experiences, and ineffective processes can lead to frustration, lost income, and stalled growth. That’s where I come in.
I help solo business owners get clarity on the behind-the-scenes aspects of running a business—financial management, customer experience, internal systems & processes. These aren’t the most exciting parts of entrepreneurship (unless you’re me, I love this stuff!), but they’re what make a business run smoothly and profitably.
Whether growth is your goal or you simply want to maintain a reasonable workload as a solo business owner, strengthening your ops foundation should be your top priority.
With my background in corporate business operations and my experience as a small business owner, I understand the difference between practical, real-world operations solutions that work for solo owners and useless busy work.
It’s not about adding more to your plate—it’s about helping you run your business more effectively.
How it Works
Free consultation: First, we’ll have a free 30-minute call to discuss the specifics of your business and what your Business Operations Analysis would include. After our call, I’ll share a detailed written proposal with all the information you need about how we can work together.
Analysis sessions: Next, we’ll meet for two operational deep dive sessions to dig into the inner workings of your business.
Recommendations report delivery: Finally, I’ll draft a detailed, personalized Operations Analysis Recommendations Report for you and your business. It’ll have specific recommendations and immediate next steps for you to solve existing operational issues and prevent new ones. The report will also include a multi-phase plan of how these actions will fuel your business’s success moving forward.
Here’s an example of what a phased plan could look like for a business owner who wants to scale, but needs to solidify their operations first:
The Recommendations Report explains why these phases are important for your business, and gives concrete next steps to achieve the core goals listed for each phase.
High-support upgrade (optional add-on): I’ll provide hands-on support to implement select recommendations in your Operations Analysis Recommendations Report.
The details are tailored to each individual client, but I can assist with projects like creating and analyzing a cash flow forecast, documenting business processes, or simply providing guidance and accountability as you work through the recommendations.
Investment
For two 90-minute assessment sessions, plus a personalized Operations Analysis Recommendations Report—$450 paid in two installments:$250 deposit, $200 due upon delivery of your Recommendations Report.
Pricing for the optional high-support upgrade is dependent on the specific recommendations included in the analysis report, starting at $300.
Frequently Asked Questions

Every analysis is customized, but the core areas we discuss are your business model (how you make money and serve your customers), your financial management (how you track income, expenses, and cash flow), your internal processes (how day-to-day work actually gets done), and your customer experience (what it's like to be your customer from start to finish).
We'll discuss the specifics of what you want to focus on during your free intro call, and I'll tailor the analysis to your situation.
-
Both of those options are available. The core Ops Analysis service delivers a detailed, personalized Recommendations Report with specific next steps for the client to improve their operations and address the challenges they’re experiencing. Some clients find that's all they need to take action on their own.
But many clients want hands-on support to actually implement the recommendations (things like building a cash flow tracker, documenting processes, etc.), and I offer a high-support add-on for that. We can discuss which approach is right for you, and you don’t have to decide until you receive the Recommendations Report and we discuss everything that’s in it.

It’s absolutely normal to have gaps in your business operations. Operational knowledge tends to be behind-the-scenes by nature and it’s hard to know what works best when it comes to internal-only processes and details. The point of the analysis is never to judge what you've done, it's to find the opportunities and improvement that will make the biggest difference going forward.
Most clients feel relieved rather than overwhelmed once they have a clear picture of what to actually work on to make things better.
Next steps
