Strategic planning & operations
consulting for solo small business owners
Your days are full: doing hands-on work to serve your customers, making all the business decisions, staying on top of your finances, marketing, sales, operations…whew!
Not to mention finding time to think deeply about what your business goals really are, and how to achieve them.
As time goes on, you’re dealing with more complexity, increasingly difficult decisions, and less mental space to focus on the parts of your business you love the most.
Sound familiar? I can help.
Let’s work together to reclaim your time, strengthen your business, and move decisively toward your goals.
Hi! I’m Courtney, owner of Catbird Consulting.
I’ve worked in business strategy & operations for my entire career—from being one of the first employees at a music tech startup, to leading Strategy & Operations teams at Google, to owning a fine dining restaurant in my hometown of Buffalo, NY.
My career path has taken me all over the place. But these wide-ranging experiences gave me an important insight: corporations employ hundreds of people who specialize in building strong operations and targeted strategic plans—the job I had at Google—but small business owners often don’t have access to that type of individualized support.
I believe that expert-level operations and strategy support shouldn’t be a luxury. So I started Catbird Consulting to help small business owners strengthen their businesses and plan strategically for success.

After we chat, I’ll share a custom proposal that includes project timeline and pricing, and we’ll move forward from there.
